The 'unknown' space is getting bigger by at least 1 GB a week – given the rate of increase, I think that this problem has existed since I got the laptop in 2013 or soon after.

Description: WebMay 27, 2020 · Download PsExec and unzip it. This allows you to run programs as SYSTEM, with full privileges. Open the command prompt as administrator, and use cd to switch to the folder you unzipped it in. Run this: psexec -s -i "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinDirStat\windirstat.exe". Then simply use WinDirStat as usual.
