Description: Generic Name: Lipase-protease-amylaseOVERVIEWSIDE EFFECTSINTERACTIONSDOSAGEThis medication contains digestive enzymes to help break down and digest fats, starch, and proteins in food. It is used in conditions where the pancreas cannot make or does not release enough digestive enzymes into the small intestines to digest the food (conditions such as chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, cancer of the pancreas, post-pancreatectomy, post-gastrointestinal bypass surgery). Take with meal(s) for better drug activity. Take with a full glass of water (8 ounces) It is important to follow an appropriate diet Do not change brands without checking with Dr. Room temperature For capsule products : Swallow directly or place on teaspoon of soft food. Avoid inhaling the powder from the capsule. For capsule, delayed release products : Before use, important to read the Medication Guide. May open capsule. Mix into cool applesauce & swallow. Drink plenty of fluids. For tablet products : Swallow whole. Do not break/chew/crush/dissolve. Call doctor if you are not getting better. Protect from heat, light, & moisture.
